Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity to work for packaging manufacturers, delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions to some of the biggest names in retail, foodservice, and manufacturing. The role: As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving new business growth while managing and expanding relationships with existing customers. You’ll work closely with internal teams to align sales efforts with site capabilities and ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Responsibilities: * Deliver new business sales in line with site capabilities * Manage and grow relationships with existing customers within your designated territory * Maintain and regularly update a sales pipeline to share with internal teams * Provide monthly sales reports detailing customer activity and new business opportunities * Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives and explore new market segments * Cross-sell packaging solutions across all business sites to both new and existing customers * Track pipeline activity and report on performance metrics * Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to promote the business and build networks * Complete administrative tasks accurately, including use of CRM systems * Carry out any other sales-related activities relevant to your territory and customer base Requirements: * Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within packaging manufacturing * Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills * Excellent communication and presentation abilities * Self-starter with a proactive, results-driven mindset * Ability to travel across the UK when needed * Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools Benefits/Additional info * Competitive base salary + performance-based bonuses * Company car or travel allowance * Flexible working arrangements * Supportive team culture with opportunities for career progression * The chance to make a real impact in a growing business
