The Opportunity We’re looking for a Regional Business Development Manager to help drive our continued growth in the home care sector. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in business development within health and social care, and a genuine passion for improving later-life services. Based in Sussex, you will play a key role in expanding our footprint, building strategic partnerships, and increasing awareness of our live-in and visiting care services. This is more than just a sales role — it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families navigating care choices. Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Business Development * Design and deliver targeted strategies to expand market presence and drive revenue growth * Identify high-potential referral channels and community partners * Stay informed through market intelligence and competitor analysis Client Acquisition & Relationship Management * Build and maintain trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, community groups, eldercare advisors, and other referral sources * Act as a care consultant, helping families understand and access the right care solutions * Develop a strong pipeline of private-pay clients through proactive engagement Stakeholder & Community Engagement * Collaborate with internal teams to execute region-specific outreach campaigns * Promote awareness of home-based care through educational initiatives, workshops, and events * Champion our local ambassador programme, growing advocacy within the community Outreach, Events & Partnerships * Represent the organisation at local networking events, conferences, and exhibitions * Forge collaborative partnerships with community organisations and care-focused networks * Advocate for independence and later-life planning through strategic outreach About You * Minimum 3 years' experience in a business development role within health and social care * Based in Sussex or surrounding areas, with strong local knowledge and connections * In-depth understanding of later-life care needs, including transitional and home-based care * Confident in building relationships with healthcare professionals, social workers, solicitors, financial advisors, and community leaders * Commercially minded, with the ability to analyse data and spot market opportunities * Excellent communicator with strong presentation and influencing skills * Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
