Job Description

Business Development / Sales Manager – Plant Hire Ipswich Area (Hybrid / Remote Working) £45,000 - £50,000 plus generous bonus scheme OR899 MUST HAVE PLANT HIRE OR PLANT EQUIPMENT SALES We’re looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to grow revenue and market share in the East Anglia region by driving new business and managing key customer relationships. Our client is a well established multi-depot plant hire company with a strong presence in the construction industry. The Role Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll take ownership of your territory, developing strong client partnerships while actively seeking out new opportunities. Your focus will be on maximising plant hire sales and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction from initial contact to delivery. Key Responsibilities * Deliver and exceed annual territory sales targets * Identify and win new plant hire contracts across your region * Maintain and grow existing customer relationships * Negotiate competitive terms while protecting profitability * Manage your pipeline and territory plan in line with business strategy * Represent the brand at site visits, client meetings, and industry events * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and delivery About You * Proven sales and account management success * Self-motivated, commercially minded, and results-focused * Excellent communicator with strong negotiation skills * IT literate and organised in managing a sales pipeline * Experience in plant hire or construction equipment sales What’s in it for you? * Competitive salary (£45–50k) + uncapped bonus * Company car or allowance * Company pension * Full product training and strong career development opportunities
