Job Description

Location: Remote/London-based (with travel to offices and client sites across the UK) Salary: Competitive base + OTE (depending on experience and network) Benefits: Car allowance, laptop, mobile phone, private healthcare About the Company A well-established, multi-disciplinary fire safety business is seeking an experienced Business Development / Sales Manager to lead its sales function and drive continued growth across the UK. The company provides a range of fire safety services including fire door manufacturing, installation, and fire stopping, working with clients in the housing, construction, facilities management, and public sectors. The Role This is a senior-level position responsible for leading the company’s sales strategy and delivering revenue targets. You will oversee all aspects of the sales function, from managing the pipeline and developing new business to supporting bid submissions and strengthening relationships with existing clients. The role will include supervising a small estimating team, ensuring all leads are effectively managed, and developing performance plans to support business objectives. You’ll report directly to the senior leadership team and play a key role in shaping the commercial direction of the business. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the sales function across multiple service lines. * Deliver monthly and quarterly revenue and growth targets. * Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy. * Manage and grow relationships with existing clients while securing new opportunities. * Oversee the preparation of bids and tenders, supported by internal bid writers. * Supervise estimators to ensure timely and accurate quotations. * Monitor performance against KPIs and report to senior management. * Negotiate contracts, subcontracting agreements, and commercial terms. * Represent the business at industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities. About You * Proven experience in sales and business development within the fire safety industry. * Strong understanding of fire doors, fire stopping, and passive fire protection. * Established network of contacts within housing associations, construction firms, and facilities management. * Demonstrable success in generating new business and delivering growth targets. * Commercially focused with excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Strong leadership and organisational skills. * Ideally London-based with full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly. Package & Location * Remote role with regular travel to client sites and company offices (London, Wakefield, Dorset). * Ideally suited to candidates based in or around London, but all UK locations will be considered. * Competitive salary and commission structure, plus car allowance and private healthcare
