Business Improvement Specialist (Warehouse & Distribution)
📍 Location: Telford - Hortonwood
🕒 Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week
📈 Reports to: Business Improvement Manager

Are you passionate about driving process improvement and operational efficiency? Our client, a leading name in the manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking a Business Improvement Specialist to join their dynamic team in Telford.
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for enhancing core warehousing and distribution processes - from receipt and replenishment to picking, dispatch, inventory control, and logistics performance. You'll work collaboratively across departments to identify, design, and deliver measurable improvements that make a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing
Champion continuous improvement across warehouse and distribution operations.
Lead and support projects using Lean tools such as A3 and Obeya.
Challenge existing practices and develop innovative solutions to operational issues.
Support WMS enhancements and warehouse layout optimisation.
Improve key performance areas - pick accuracy, productivity, and inventory control.
Provide clear, data-driven analysis and reports to demonstrate project success.
Drive progress against key KPI targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Environment.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in warehouse operations and logistics performance improvement.
Strong knowledge of Lean, 5S, visual management, and project management principles.
Confident in using WMS systems and understanding warehouse layout design.
A team player with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Skills
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Previous experience in a Business Improvement or Operational Excellence role.
