Job Description
Are you a commercially savvy leader with a background in facilities, property maintenance, plumbing, or mechanical services? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments, love making data-driven decisions, and have a natural ability to build strong client relationships?
We’re looking for a commercially minded Business Manager to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in the next chapter of our business. This isn’t just a job — it’s a chance to be at the heart of operations, strategy, and growth.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading the Office Team – Oversee a capable team, providing support, structure, and a strong culture.
* Client Relationship Management – Own and nurture relationships with our commercial clients — keeping the 40% happy and supporting the 60% that drive our revenue.
* Driving Commercial Strategy – Use financial data and insight to influence decision-making, maintain a strong pipeline, and identify growth opportunities.
* Marketing & Business Development – Manage email campaigns, social media activity, and attend networking events to build awareness and new relationships.
* Supporting Business Operations – Lead daily office activities and contribute to larger strategic projects such as sourcing and evaluating new office space.
* Financial Insight – Turn data into meaningful insights to support strategic decisions. Bookkeeping experience is a bonus but not essential.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
* Is customer focused and has experience of working with tradespeople
* Understands what high-net-worth clients expect - and delivers it
* Is commercially minded and data-savvy - capable of identifying issues and providing costed, actionable solutions
* Can handle complaints professionally and credibly
* Brings energy to business development, including lead generation and relationship building
* Is confident with marketing tools, social media, and campaign planning
* Is highly organised, proactive, and comfortable leading initiatives independently
