4myschools are proud to be working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the Bishops Stortford area who are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join their dedicated team. This inclusive and well-resourced setting has a strong reputation for supporting both staff and students, with a focus on delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that prepares learners for real-world success. The school promotes a positive learning environment where high standards of teaching, collaboration, and student engagement are at the heart of everything they do. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive department that values innovation in teaching and professional development.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5), ensuring that all students are motivated and challenged to achieve their full potential. You will assess and monitor pupil progress, differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities including those with special educational needs, and contribute to the development of schemes of work. As part of your role, you will foster an inclusive classroom environment, manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies, and actively participate in departmental meetings and wider school initiatives. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of student performance and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic teacher with a genuine passion for Business Studies and education. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have significant experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school setting. Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and confident subject specialists with relevant curriculum knowledge. A minimum qualification of GCSE grade 4/C in English and Maths is essential. You should be available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, during term time and committed to a long-term placement. Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to support students with varying learning needs, including SEN, are highly desirable. Due to the location, access to your own transport is highly beneficial.
