About the role:
Develop and sustain the Business Management Systems in line with the required industry standards (including: IATF16949/ISO9001 /ISO14001, TISAX/ISO27001 and AS9100 etc), accreditation requirements and business requirements across the organisation through existing and new procedures. Regulate, control, and improve the quality of all processes throughout the business. Manage the internal audit program to ensure that all nonconformities raised by certification bodies during audits are effectively corrected and independently verified, ensuring any required changes in policy or procedure are effectively implemented as a result. Ensure all Customer business level requirements are met, as well as monitoring and managing all Customer complaints and warranty, dealing with them effectively and “in time”. Embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the company. Lead the Business to achieve quality management system targets for customers and business goals (KPI’s).
Responsibilities:
Strategy and Development
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on relevant business management systems
Management of PRN process
Management of lessons learnt
General and Task Management
Develop the Management Systems strategy and the management arrangements for key milestones, demonstrating solid progress against plan.
Manage all external registration requirements to ensure they are met. Liaise with external bodies on all matters relating to registration. Maintain and improve, in line with business needs
Audit the MRP system against physical process for mismatches in resource allocation
Implement and maintain all relevant procedures described each business management system
Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised, and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies and Customers
Ensure compliance with Customer requirements at a business (not project) level
Manage Customer complaints and warranty alongside the Quality Manager ensuring any complaint is dealt with in time and to the Customers satisfaction (including completion of 8D’s)
Update system documentation and communicate to applicable teams to carry forward lessons learned from any concerns
Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits (both internal and external)
Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate
Train others in all aspects of the business management systems and application of procedures
Assign and delegate audits to the internal audit team
Undertake regular system, product/process, and effectiveness testing audits across all business management systems
Ensure corrective actions are undertaken to address non-conformities found
Verify closure of non-conformities with Certification Bodies and communicating any open and closed NC's to the Management Review
Hold management system performance meetings within the business (via management review) and with Certification Bodies
Manage the audit nonconformity data base
Provide detailed analysis of nonconformities
Ensure ongoing compliance with all Management Systems (IATF16949/ISO9001/ISO14001 etc) (including: IATF16949/ISO9001 /ISO14001, TISAX/ISO27001 and AS9100 etc)
Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
Produce written reports and make presentations
Undertake continuous training and development
Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
Assist with setting department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance
Ensure KPIs are met by working to the plan, including management of, and reporting
Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well being of staff and visitors.
First point of contact for supplier and customer-driven systems to include; IMDS, EDI, Access Factory Master, customer portals including JLR COVISint, BMW, Lotus, INEOS, Pininfarina etc etc
Person Specification
A good Understanding of various business management quality systems
Aerospace experience
Excellent Automotive experience
Understanding manufacturing processes
