We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Business Teacher to join our school in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
About the school:
The school is based in Southampton and is a Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 860 students in total. The school has a keen interest in promoting the learning of Business Studies, as well as creating a friendly and enthusiastic environment through all aspects of teaching. The school place great value in their staff and offer loads of support to its team.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Business Studies across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (GCSE and A-Level).
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster critical thinking and creativity.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
Promote the use of Business Studies to enhance learning across the curriculum.
Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and resources.
Support students in their personal and academic development, providing guidance where needed.
Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider community to support student achievement and well-being.
Key Requirements:
A degree in Business, or a related field (or equivalent).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Business Studies curriculum.
Experience teaching Business at secondary school level.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
A commitment to ongoing professional development.
