About us
We are a well-established processing facility in Hull committed to high quality meat products and excellent customer service. We are now seeking a skilled and reliable Butcher to join our team.
The role
Prepare, cut and portion meat to required specifications in line with quality and hygiene standards.
Trim, boning if required, label and package meat products ready for sale or processing.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & hygiene in the work area (HACCP / food-safety compliant).
Work the specified shift pattern: Sunday evening into early Monday (16:00-01:00) and Monday to Thursday midday to late (12:00-22:00).
Work as part of a small team; ability to work independently when required.
Assist in stock control and reporting any quality issues.
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a butcher, meat-cutter or working in a butcher's environment.
Good knowledge of meat cuts and safe meat handling.
Ability to work the specified unusual hours - you must be comfortable working evenings / into the early morning.
Reliable, punctual, and with good work ethic.
Good physical fitness (standing for long periods, lifting, etc).
HACCP/food-safety awareness (desirable).
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
What we offer
