They deliver high-value new build and refurbishment projects typically ranging from £250k to £5m.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Buyer (Materials and Sub Contract) to join the team, based out of Eastbourne. You’ll be involved in the full procurement cycle from pre- to post-contract across a small number of projects at any one time.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop & implement procurement strategies alongside project teams
*
Lead procurement for materials and general construction packages: groundworks, RC frame, cladding, M&E, carpentry, plastering, decorating etc.
*
Manage tender processes and negotiations with sub contractors and suppliers
*
Support value engineering and procurement scheduling
*
Place and manage orders
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Experience working as a Buyer for a UK main contractor or sizeable sub contractor
✅ Strong knowledge of construction procurement practices
✅ Proven ability to manage packages from £1,000 to £1m+
✅ Familiarity with traditional JCT & D&B contracts
✅ Excellent negotiation & communication skills
✅ Experience in sectors such as education, healthcare, and residential preferred
