Role Overview
Responsible for the end-to-end procurement of materials, equipment, plant, and machinery to support multiple site operations across the project. This role spans diverse sectors including commercial, finance, logistics, and health & safety, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement aligned with project and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and process purchase orders in accordance with Ferrovial Construction Procurement Procedures, based on requisitions from Site Operations Teams.
* Source materials and equipment, balancing quality, service, risk, and cost considerations.
* Conduct meetings with potential and existing suppliers to foster strong relationships and ensure compliance with site-specific requirements.
* Liaise with the wider Project Team on all procurement matters, providing updates on lead times and potential supply risks.
* Attend internal project meetings to report on procurement progress.
* Utilize ERP systems and tools for procurement processes and reporting.
* Promote sustainability in line with Ferrovial’s Sustainability Process.
* Support the Procurement Manager in monitoring supply chain performance and identifying issues.
* Maintain accurate records of supplier quotations, negotiations, orders, and correspondence.
* Perform additional duties as required to assist the Procurement and Commercial teams.
Knowledge & Skills
* Experience in construction procurement.
* Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
* Ability to multitask and solve problems in a structured manner.
* Capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Comfortable learning and adapting to new software and systems.
