Job Description
Involve Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd are recruiting for a experienced and commercially driven Buyer to join a growing white goods and electrical appliances business. This is a key role responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships, with a strong focus on working directly with manufacturing partners in China.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in international procurement, particularly within the electrical appliances or consumer goods sector, and be confident negotiating with overseas factories to secure the best possible terms, pricing, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end buying process for white goods and electrical appliances
* Build and maintain strong relationships with factories and suppliers, particularly in China
* Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and contract terms to ensure commercial advantage
* Work closely with suppliers to ensure product quality, compliance, and timely delivery
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and cost fluctuations to inform buying strategy
* Collaborate with internal teams including product development, logistics, and sales
* Conduct regular supplier reviews and performance analysis
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Buyer within white goods, electrical appliances, or similar consumer products
* Strong experience working directly with Chinese factories and suppliers
* Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively in an international environment
* Solid understanding of supply chain processes and import/export considerations
* Commercially astute with strong analytical and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
