Assistant Buyer / Merchandiser
Chelmsford, Essex | Office-Based | Monday–Friday
Driver required due to location
£28,000–£30,000 + 10% quarterly discretionary bonus (OTE £33,000)

Our client, a fast-growing storage solutions business with a strong reputation in their market, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer / Merchandiser to join their collaborative team near Chelmsford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role in a fast-paced environment, with exposure across buying, merchandising, and product management.

The Role
Working closely with the Buyer and Merchandiser, you will play a key role in ensuring products are effectively sourced, stocked, and promoted.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting day-to-day buying activities
* Raising and managing new and repeat orders based on stock forecasts
* Producing weekly reports and management information
* Coordinating supplier deliveries and timelines
* Assisting with promotional planning and campaign proposals
* Monitoring competitor activity and identifying opportunities
* Setting up products across Shopify and CRM systems
* Providing general administrative support to the Buying team
About You
* Previous experience in a buying or merchandising role is essential
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Proactive, confident, and able to manage multiple priorities
* Positive, hands-on approach to work
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Full driving licence required due to office location
Working Hours
* Monday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
* Tuesday–Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
* Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pmBefore You Apply
