Buyer – Engineering & Manufacturing
* Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
* Location: Brighouse, West Yorkshire

Innova Search is proud to be partnering with a well-established engineering business specialising in the design and manufacture of high-performance valve solutions. Operating globally, this organisation supports a diverse client base across the oil, gas, petrochemical and hydrogen sectors, supplying into more than 150 countries.
We are currently seeking a Buyer to join their growing procurement team. This is a hands-on, operational role that plays a key part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of CNC machined components, raw materials, and soft parts to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Procurement of components and materials in line with internal demand and production schedules.
* Monitor requisition systems and forecast demand using historical data.
* Raise and manage enquiries, ensuring competitive quotations and cost-effective sourcing.
* Negotiate pricing and lead times to align with project deadlines and budget parameters.
* Expedite and improve delivery schedules when necessary.
* Process purchase orders accurately and maintain strong supplier relationships.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the quality team, to resolve any supply or quality-related issues.
* Promote and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
* Contribute to process improvements and procurement modernisation initiatives.
Requirements
* Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally with knowledge of CNC machining (turning and milling through multi-axis machines).
* Familiarity with materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, or duplex alloys is beneficial, though full training will be provided.
* Proven ability to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
* Strong negotiation and supplier development skills.
* Confident user of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* A valid UK driving licence is essential.
