Buyer – Main Contractor
📍 Location: Oxford
💰 Salary: upto £45,000
We are recruiting for a Buyer to join a main contractor known for its quality delivery and strong supplier relationships. This is a permanent role in a close-knit commercial team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing materials procurement across multiple live projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Procuring materials and plant in line with project specifications

Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers

Placing and tracking orders

Ensuring timely delivery to site and preventing material delays

Building relationships with suppliers and internal teams
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Buyer in the construction industry

Strong negotiation and organisational skills

Knowledge of construction materials and suppliers

Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
