We're seeking a proactive and organised Buyer to join our London-based team. You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring smooth purchasing and supply of components, packaging, and finished goods across our global supplier base.
This position is based in Central London with 3 days office-based and 2 days working from home, based on a 40hr week.
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide hands-on procurement and purchasing support to the Operations and Supply Chain team, ensuring all goods and services are sourced and ordered efficiently and in line with business needs. You will be responsible for raising and tracking purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting the wider team with procurement admin and systems management.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
Raise and manage purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods in the ERP system
Liaise directly with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and documentation
Ensure POs are aligned with demand plans and inventory needs
Monitor open orders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery
Assist in the management of supplier master data and price lists
Track and report on order status, lead times, and procurement KPIsSupplier Coordination
Build and maintain good working relationships with key suppliers
Support the onboarding of new suppliers with documentation, compliance, and setup
Escalate any supply risks or delays to the relevant stakeholders in a timely mannerProcess & Systems Support
Ensure purchasing activity is recorded accurately in the ERP system
Assist with invoice matching and resolving purchase discrepancies
Support procurement reporting and spend analysis
Contribute to improving procurement processes and efficienciesCross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Head of Procurement & Planning, & Demand Planner, Logistics, and NPD teams to ensure supply chain alignment
Provide procurement support for new product launches and supplier transitions
Support sustainability and ethical sourcing goals by ensuring supplier complianceRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Experience
Essential:
2+ years in a procurement or buying support role, ideally in FMCG or beauty
Comfortable working in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, etc.)
Experience with purchase order creation and supplier communicationsDesirable:
Experience in a global supply chain environment
Previous exposure to working with 3rd party manufacturers and component suppliers
Interest in sustainability and responsible sourcing practicesSkills
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines
Clear and professional written and verbal communication
