Job Description
We are working with a renowned construction company in the West Yorkshire area who have an opportunity for a Buyer to join their business. The role is office based and the individual will have previous experience of Plant and Materials buying within the construction industry.
Role/Duties/Responsibilities
Source and purchase construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships.
Monitor inventory and ensure stock availability.
Collaborate with Site and Project managers to ensure procurement meets project deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of purchases and expenditures.
Work with suppliers and plant hire organisations
good knowledge of pricing withing the construction industry
excellent organisational skills
ability to work to deadlines
