The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham are currently looking for a Family Hub Commissioner.
£500 per day.
Inside IR35.
Hybrid Working. Purpose of the Job:
To implement, monitor and review commissioning strategies for the Start for Life and Family Hub programme in Barking and Dagenham, adhering to the Start for Life and Family Hub programme and council wide requirements, where appropriate. To work to the Start for Life and Family Hub Development manager and the Public Health Consultant for Babies, Children and Young People and in close partnership with other colleagues to ensure that services commissioned meet the needs of people from the borough.
To support groups relevant to the service area. These groups will set the strategic priorities for the commissioning of services. The Start for Life and Family Hub Commissioner will own the Commissioning Strategies, to ensure that they and all commissioned services focus on achieving outcomes for the service user, and deliver outstanding value for money.
To establish universal early intervention early childhood groups across the borough to meet the needs of parents in the borough. Working alongside existing services to ensure there is not duplication and taking opportunities of outreach through these existing groups to engage families in the new groups.
To increase the number of men taking up the Start for Life and Family Hub offer through a range of early childhood groups that men feel comfortable in attending. Strategically leading on a training programme for barbers so they are confident in delivering a strong perinatal mental health message to dads and know how to sign post and engage them in wider services run through the Family HubsBefore You Apply
