Cable/Pipework Tray Installer – Reading
Location: Reading
Employment Type: Contract 3-4 months+
Salary: Competitive rates + overtime + 10hr days
About the Role
We’re looking for a team of skilled and reliable Cable Tray Installers to join a project in Reading. You’ll be responsible for the installation, assembly, and support of cable and pipe tray systems on a large commercial projects.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electrical or mechanical installation who takes pride in quality workmanship and safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities

Install and secure cable tray systems (ladder, basket, and trunking types)
*
Read and interpret drawings and layout plans
*
Measure, cut, and assemble tray sections to specification
*
Coordinate with electricians and other trades on-site
*
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
*
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
About You
*
Proven experience in cable tray installation or similar electrical or mechanical construction work
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
*
Strong understanding of safe work practices
*
Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces
*
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team
Qualifications (preferred but not essential):
*
Electrical or mechanical trade qualification with CSCS card
*
IPAF trained
*
