CAD/CAM Programmer (Trumpf/Cadman) - Temp to Perm - Berkshire - £Competitive + Benefits
CAD/CAM Programmer (Trumpf/Cadman) required for a well established stainless fabrications business based in the Berkshire area specialising in the manufacture and assembly of special purpose plant, equipment and pipework.The successful applicant will be required to produce drawings & generate programs for Trumpf Lasers & LVD press brakes. Knowledge of Trumpf Topps laser or Cadman bending software would be advantageous but not essential (software specific training will be available to the successful applicant.
Responsibilities
Produce CAD drawings of flat components accurately, using customer’s drawings as a bench mark.
Produce material nests of flat components for maximum material usage.
Produce bending programs to suit customer requirements.
Cross checking drawings & nests with colleagues for drawing accuracy & part quantities.
Ensuring production schedules are maintained & updated.
Project managing.
Liaising with customers.
Candidate Requirements (Essential / Advantageous)
Able to interpret and understand engineering drawings & have excellent attention to detail.
Must be proficient & be able to demonstrate the ability to draw with CAD software
SolidWorks experience would be advantageous but not essential
Have an understanding of forming sheet metal (bending & rolling)
Have experience of working to tight tolerances.
Be from a manufacturing/sheet metal / fabrication background.
Have excellent communication skills, must be proactive & have a genuine interest in Engineering.
CNC programming experience from another field i.e. Machining.
This is a Full time role working 40hrs per week with overtime generally available.
