Our client is looking to recruit for a CAD/CAM Programmer to work in their Milling Department. They are a well established precision engineering and manufacturing company. This permanent role offers a competitive salary range up to £39,500, providing you with the opportunity to take your programming expertise to new heights.
What you'll be doing:
* Collaborating with the team to bring products to life using 2D software to produce programs for Matsuura Horizontal millers and Daewoo, Haas and Mazak vertical machining centres.
* Produce high quality components for a variety of market sectors, including Automotive, Oil & Gas & Aerospace.
* Self-checking components produced, ensuring quality standards are met.
* Embrace a work-life harmony working day shifts from 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday, and 07:00 to 14:00 on Fridays, enjoying a long weekend.
Preferred Requirements:
* Proficient in CAD/CAM programming, with a strong understanding of milling techniques.
* Experienced in 2D CAD, with expertise in AutoCAD or Esprit software.
* Exceptional knowledge and experience of using Fanuc controls.
* Familiar with horizontal & vertical millers and/or multi-pallet machinery.
* Adept at troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment.
* Eager to take on a production engineering role and contribute to the growth of our company.
What we need from you:
* A proven track record in a similar CAD/CAM programming role, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
* Strong work ethic, with a solid work history.
* Excellent communication skills, to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including quality, production and other shop floor teams.
Ultimately, we are looking for a good CAD/CAM Programmer, with strong Fanuc knowledge and experience, who has used Vertical, Horizontal and/or multi-pallet milling machines. Someone who would like to take the next step towards Production Engineering.
