CAD/CAM Programmer / Operator
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Guide to £45,000 PA, DOE + Overtime at time and a half
Location: Sawtry - Huntingdon area - Own transport recommended due to location
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours
Typical hours: 6.30am - 2.30pm or 8.00am - 4.30pm - Flexible start/finish times
We are looking for a skilled CAD/CAM Programmer / Operator to join our clients skilled team. If you possess a strong background in CAD/CAM Programming, alongside hands-on experience with 3 to 5 axis CNC machinery, then we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement CAD/CAM software to create precise and efficient toolpaths.
Program and operate 3 - 5-axis CNC milling machine utilising the Siemens controller to produce high-quality components.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure specifications and project requirements are met.
Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issues promptly.
Maintain equipment and perform regular inspections to ensure optimum performance.
Key Experience Required:
CAD/CAM Programming.
Autodesk Fusion PowerMill, OneCNC, SolidWorks or similar.
Demonstrable experience setting and operating 3 - 5 axis CNC machinery.
Strong proficiency in Siemens, Fanuc or similar Controls.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
Qualifications:
A recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be advantageous.
Proven experience as a CNC Miller with strong expertise in 3-5 Axis machining.
Able to identify tooling and working methods to operate machine competently.
Good knowledge of machine shop practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
