CAD Coordinator (Engineering Support & Systems Administrator)
£35,000
Office-based | Standard daytime hours
This is one of those roles where nothing physically breaks, but everything still needs to work.
We're looking for a CAD Coordinator to support a busy engineering department by keeping systems, data, schedules and documentation accurate, organised and usable.
If engineering keeps the site running, this role keeps engineering from falling into organised chaos.
You'll be the person making sure information is current, processes are followed, and the engineering team actually knows what's going on without having to ask five different people.
What you'll be doing
Updating and maintaining planning and scheduling boards daily
Managing CMMS data including component records, stock levels and inventory accuracy
Processing absence documentation including return-to-work forms
Managing holiday requests and supporting engineering rota administration
Maintaining the Time Management System (TMS)
Handling general engineering administration, including emails, spreadsheets and documentation
Creating PowerPoint presentations and weekly engineering KPI reports
Liaising with suppliers, OEMs and contractors as required
Maintaining training matrices and highlighting gaps or requirements
Managing engineering PPE orders and associated records
Completing daily process confirmation checks and reporting findings
Highlighting non-compliance with processes and procedures
Organising and maintaining engineering filing systems
Producing documentation and correspondence for the Site Engineering Manager
Supporting training coordination for the engineering team
Maintaining strong health and safety compliance across all documentation and processes
What we're looking for
Strong administrative experience within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment
Confident use of CMMS, spreadsheets and data systems
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable managing multiple systems and deadlines at once
Good communication skills when dealing with internal teams, suppliers and contractors
Confident producing reports, presentations and structured documentation
Proactive approach to identifying gaps, errors or missing information
Strong understanding of confidentiality, compliance and process discipline
The reality of the role
This is not a "quiet admin job".
Engineering runs on information as much as machines, and if the data is wrong, late or missing, everything downstream suffers. You'll need to be someone who spots problems in systems, not just paperwork, and takes ownership of fixing them before they spread.
If you like structured work, organised systems and being the person who keeps the whole operation aligned, this fits. If you prefer things to drift and fix themselves, it won'tDo not include the following in your job application, CV, or cover letter:
You should not be asked for payment or irrelevant information. If you have concerns about a job advert or employer, seek guidance on how to proceed.
