Location: HU9, Hull
Salary: £30,000 per annum (Hourly equivalent considered)
Job Type: Temporary Ongoing Assignment
Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:30 - 17:00

About the Company

Prestige Recruitment Specialists are recruiting on behalf of a long-established, market-leading manufacturer of modular buildings based in Hull.

Our client designs, manufactures and installs high-quality modular and portable buildings for customers across the UK, delivering projects within the education, healthcare, commercial, residential and public sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join their busy design team.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD professional to join a collaborative design department where you'll play a key role in producing accurate technical drawings that support the manufacture and delivery of modular building projects.

Working closely with project managers, production and manufacturing teams, you will develop detailed 2D drawings from concept through to production while ensuring designs are practical, accurate and delivered to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate 2D CAD drawings for modular building layouts, components and assemblies.
Create production-ready drawings from concept through to manufacture.
Amend and update drawings in line with project requirements.
Interpret customer specifications and technical information.
Work closely with production, project management and manufacturing teams.
Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards and company procedures.
Support continuous improvements within the design process.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience using AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software.
Experience within construction, manufacturing, engineering or modular building design.
Strong technical drawing ability with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Good organisational and communication skills.
A proactive and collaborative approach to work.

Desirable

Experience within modular construction or portable buildings.
Understanding of manufacturing or fabrication processes.
Knowledge of construction methods and building regulations.

Salary & Benefits

£30,000 per annum equivalent (paid hourly).
Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00.
Ongoing temporary assignment with long-term potential.
