CAD Technician - Joinery

Location: North Essex
 Salary: Circa £35,000 (DOE)

A well-established joinery and manufacturing company is looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-end doors, panels, and joinery for both commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

Produce and update detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SWood.
Prepare assembly and fabrication drawings, including BOMs (Bills of Materials).
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to translate concepts into technical drawings.
Maintain drawing registers, revision history, and ensure compliance with company standards.
Assist in prototype development and design modifications.
Coordinate with production teams to resolve drawing-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience

Practical knowledge of joinery; hands-on experience preferred.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D & 3D; experience with SolidWorks or SWood essential.
Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Own transport is required due to location.

Benefits

Salary circa £35,000 depending on experience.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.
20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
