CAD Technician

6 month contract (likely extension)

Hybrid / Remote (Slough)

£35 per hour OUTSIDE IR35

GreenScout are working exclusively with a major player within the HV industry, who urgently require a CAD Technician on an initial 6 month contract.

Role Overview

As a CAD Design Technician, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings, models, and schematics using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Working closely with engineers and designers, you will support the development of products, components, or systems by producing accurate and detailed drawings that meet project requirements and industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Drafting and Design:

      * Prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings, models, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) in accordance with engineering specifications.

      * Produce detailed plans, schematics, cable route layouts, and cross-sectional drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project requirements.

      * Incorporate existing utility information into design drawings to support coordinated and clash-free designs.

      * Maintain accurate drawing records, revisions, and document control throughout the project lifecycle.

  2. Modification and Revision:

      * Update and revise drawings to reflect design changes, site information, and engineering feedback.

      * Ensure all revisions are accurately documented and managed using established version control procedures.

Skills and Experience

  * Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or equivalent.
