Job Description
CK Group are recruiting for a Calibration Technician, to join a global materials manufacturing company, based near Wigan, on a full time, permanent basis.
The Company:
Our client is a global leader in manufacturing glass for the architectural, automotive and technical sectors. They strive to be the best innovator of high-performance glass and glazing solutions. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Calibration Technician to join their Thin Film Resource Group within the R&D Function and are offering a salary ranging from £24,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.
Location:
The Calibration Technician position will be based at the company's site near Wigan, easily commutable by road from Merseyside including Liverpool, Ormskirk, Skelmersdale and Manchester. Please note a full UK driving licence and car ownership is required, due to the company's location.
Calibration Technician Role:
Your main duties will be:
Calibrating, operating and maintaining lab coating and testing equipment.
Investigating new coatings applied through Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD).
Conducting durability tests and preparing samples.
Measuring various physical properties of coated glass.
Developing new coated products and processes.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
Educated to BTEC/HNC/apprenticeship level - these are strongly preferred over a degree-level education for this role.
Experience working in a laboratory - essential.
Driving licence and access to car - essential.
Benefits:
