Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in calibration services as a Calibration Technician. Based at our Manchester facility, the role requires a detail-oriented professional with experience in the calibration of measuring equipment and a strong understanding of industry standards. Working within a structured and supportive environment, you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and traceability across all inspection and measurement processes. Your work will directly contribute to our clients's reputation for precision, quality, and customer excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform calibration of measuring equipment to specified standards.
Conduct surface finish checks on components.
Maintain the calibration database and filing systems accurately.
Manage and update calibration certifications and related documentation.
Assist in the development and continuous improvement of inspection and calibration procedures.
Participate in internal and external audits as required by the Trescal Quality Manager (on-site or at customer facilities).
Ensure compliance with all Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) regulations.
Complete tasks within budgeted costs and deadlines while maintaining accurate records for billing and project tracking.
Skills & Qualifications:
A technical qualification is preferred (e.g., HNC, HND, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above).
Previous experience in calibration, particularly with UKAS standards.
Solid understanding of calibration principles, practices, and theories.
Familiarity with Windows-based software and laboratory automation systems.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a customer-focused environment.
