Are you an experienced Call Handler seeking a rewarding opportunity within primary care? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Call Handler to join a busy GP Surgery in Lincoln (LN5). This is an excellent contract opportunity to contribute to patient care, ensuring seamless communication and support in a high-demand healthcare setting.
About the Role: Call Handler – Primary Care in Lincoln
As a Call Handler, you will be the first point of contact for patient inquiries, providing professional, empathetic, and efficient service. This role offers a dynamic environment where your communication skills will directly impact patient satisfaction and practice efficiency. The contract runs until the end of September, with a possibility for extension.
Candidate Responsibilities:
Promptly answer incoming patient calls with professionalism
Direct patients to the appropriate services or personnel
Handle calls with empathy, patience, and understanding
Support the practice team during busy periods, managing increased call volumes
Maintain accurate records and document patient interactions securely
Uphold confidentiality and compliance standardsCandidate Requirements:
Proven experience working in a GP surgery or primary care environment
Ownership of an NHS Smartcard
Confident in using SystmOne system
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure while remaining professional
Availability for shifts from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm or 10:30 am – 6:30 pm, Monday to FridayBenefits of Joining as a Call Handler: Primary Care
