Job Title: Campus Safeguarding Lead
Location: Rotherham
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £28,965 per annum + benefits
Are you a dedicated safeguarding professional passionate about creating safe, supportive environments for young people? We’re seeking a Campus Safeguarding Lead to play a key role in student welfare and protection.
This is a highly rewarding position where you’ll provide a responsive safeguarding service, ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and best practices such as Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE). You’ll be the main point of contact for staff on safeguarding matters, working closely with internal teams, external agencies, and families to ensure timely referrals and support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead safeguarding efforts across campus, offering expert guidance and support.
* Manage safeguarding cases and collaborate with external services.
* Promote trauma-informed, anti-discriminatory practices.
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality.
Requirements:
* Recent experience in safeguarding within education or community settings.
* Experience working with young people, ideally in post-16 education.
* Strong understanding of child protection, data protection, and safeguarding legislation.
* Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (or equivalent), Level 3 Safeguarding qualification, and ideally a vocational Level 3 qualification.
