The role
As a Campus Security Guard working during term time, you'll ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors by patrolling college grounds, responding to incidents and providing a visible, approachable presence. This is a term-time-only role with potential for additional shifts during school holidays, and you must be willing to travel to other sites across the Northwest if required.
What you’ll do
Patrol buildings and grounds on foot and by vehicle
Manage access points, check ID and welcome visitors
Respond to alarms, emergencies and suspicious activity
Liaise with emergency services when needed
Maintain accurate shift reports and incident logs
Monitor and maintain use of CCTV, radios and alarms
Represent the security team with professionalism and calm authority
What you’ll bring

SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence
*
SIA CCTV licence preferred (training available)
*
Full UK driving licence and your own transport
*
Flexibility to work late shifts and travel across the Northwest if required
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*
Ability to remain calm and think clearly under pressure
*
Good level of physical fitness for routine patrols
*
Prior experience in education, corporate or military/forces security is a plus
Ex-Forces and ex-Emergency Services personnel are warmly encouraged to apply.
