Job Description
Job Title: Digital Scanning & Data Services Operator
📍 Location: West Bridgford, Nottingham
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
💷 Pay: £12.26 per hour
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Digital Scanning & Data Services Operator to join our busy team in West Bridgford. This is a full-time, office-based role focused on handling and processing highly confidential documents.
Key Duties:
* Operate scanning equipment to digitise sensitive documents (e.g. HR records, legal files, finance papers, large-format plans).
* Prepare files to ensure they are correctly labelled and organised before scanning.
* Scan, quality check, and upload documents to internal and external systems.
* Enter and validate data using specific software and databases.
* Search and retrieve documents requested by departments such as Social Services, Legal, and the Police.
* Handle and archive digital files securely, following strict data protection protocols.
* Assist with the secure disposal of confidential waste.
* Communicate with internal teams and external clients to meet their document needs.
* Maintain scanning equipment and follow health & safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
* Good attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work with confidential information responsibly.
* Comfortable using computers and databases.
* A team player who can also work independently.
* Willing to work flexibly across scanning, mail, and archive services if needed.
Additional Information:
* Full training and support provided.
* You must follow all data protection and health & safety regulations.
* Occasional shift changes or emergency hours may be required (rare).
