Job Description
Our client is a private independent garage based in York. Currently they are looking for an experienced Car Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday dayshifts
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
* Perform routine servicing and maintenance
* Repair and replace parts and components
* Conduct vehicle inspections and MOT prep (if applicable)
* Ensure high standards of workmanship and customer service
* Maintain clean and safe workshop practices
Requirements
* Proven experience as a car mechanic/automotive technician
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance (preferred)
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
