Car Mechanic – Permanent Contract
Location: Hitchin
Pay: £32,000 to £38,000 per year – salary negotiable depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday (no weekends). Overtime available if desired.
We’re recruiting a skilled Car Mechanic on behalf of one of our established clients in Hitchin. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join a busy and growing car garage with the opportunity to further your experince within the industry.
The Role
As a Car Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for:
* Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, meeting both safety and customer expectations.
* Working efficiently to achieve daily targets while maintaining quality.
What We’re Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
* Previous workshop experience in a similar role.
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* A positive, team-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
* Full UK driving licence (preferred).
* MOT testing qualification (advantageous but not essential).
