Job Description:
As a Car Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Use diagnostic tools to assess vehicle issues.
* Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes and brake inspections.
* Carry out servicing tasks, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and ensuring all systems are functioning optimally.
* Repair or replace faulty mechanical components and electrical systems, including engines and wiring.
* Test repaired vehicles to confirm proper functionality and safety.
* Communicate effectively with customers about needed repairs and services.
* Provide accurate estimates for repair work and discuss available options with customers.
* Maintain detailed service records of repairs, parts used, and service history.
* Adhere to safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.
* Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques to enhance your skills.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
* Assist in training new mechanics or apprentices to build a stronger team.
Candidate requirements
* Experience with a fault scanner is required.
* Must be able to work unsupervised.
* Must have at least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
