Vehicle Technician - Independent Garage
Location: Weston-super-Mare
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (No weekends)

About the Garage:
Our client is a long-standing, family-run garage with an excellent reputation in the local area. Known for quality workmanship, honesty, and customer care, they offer a wide range of services including diagnostics, repairs, MOT testing, and routine servicing for all makes and models.
The workshop is clean, modern, and fully equipped with up-to-date diagnostic and repair tools. You'll be joining a tight-knit team of experienced technicians, where your input is valued, and your efforts genuinely recognised.
Role Responsibilities:
Carrying out a range of vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostic work
Servicing all makes and models in line with manufacturer standards
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately
Performing vehicle health checks and advising on recommended repairs
Conducting MOT tests (if qualified) and ensuring all work meets DVSA standards
Accurately completing job cards and maintaining clear service records
Contributing to the smooth, efficient running of the workshop and supporting your colleagues when needed
What We're Looking For:
A Level 3-qualified Vehicle Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
An MOT Tester (Class 4) certification is highly desirable but not essential
Strong diagnostic ability and confident with both mechanical and electrical systems
Solid experience working in a professional workshop environment (dealer or independent)
A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for the motor trade
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job properly
Full UK driving licence required
