Pay: £16-£20 per hour (DOE)
 Location: Edinburgh & surrounding areas
 Hours: Flexible shifts - full-time, part-time, and ongoing shift cover available

Are you a chef who enjoys flexibility and variety? We're looking for experienced chefs to provide ongoing shift cover across care homes in Edinburgh and nearby areas.

This role is perfect for chefs who want flexible work while making a real difference-delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to residents who truly value them.

🔪 The Role

You'll support different care home kitchens, stepping in to maintain high standards and consistency during staff shortages and busy periods.

You will:

Prepare and cook fresh, balanced meals tailored to residents' needs
Deliver texture-modified and levelled diets in line with IDDSI guidelines
Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen organisation
Work closely with care teams to ensure a positive dining experience

👩‍🍳 What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a chef in a care home or healthcare setting
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IDDSI diets 
Confidence working independently in new kitchen environments
PVG certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3
A reliable, adaptable, and professional approach
