Experienced School Caretaker – September Start
We are currently looking for a reliable and skilled caretaker to join our team in a busy and supportive primary school environment starting September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker who is committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed school site.
Key Responsibilities for the Caretaker Role:
Daily upkeep and cleaning of the school premises
Opening and securing the site, including alarm management
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs as needed
Ensuring the school environment remains safe and operational at all times
Overseeing contractors and adhering to health and safety standards
Supporting with setting up for school events and activities
Managing stock and ordering cleaning supplies and toolsCaretaker Experience Required:
Proven experience as a caretaker in a school or similar environment such as a hospital, care home, or public building
Knowledge of health and safety practices within a facilities setting
Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as within a teamDesirable for the Caretaker Position:
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)Pay: £14.39 – £15.00 per hour
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-time.
