Working Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
Pay Rate: £19.34 per hour (Umbrella/Limited)
Redbridge Council is looking to appoint a reliable and physically fit Housing Caretaker to join their in-house caretaking team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the internal and external communal areas of the council's housing stock.
Key Responsibilities:
Sweeping, mopping, litter picking, and dusting communal areas
Removing bulk waste and maintaining cleanliness in car parks and service roads
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety, fire safety, and building safety regulations
Working cooperatively within a small team environment
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in caretaking or cleaning within a professional setting
Physically fit and hardworking with a strong sense of responsibility
A full, clean UK manual driving licence is essential
Must be eligible to work in the UK
Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 years of references or work history
Will be required to complete a criminal convictions declaration and confidentiality agreement upon offer
Additional Information:
Candidates must attend an on-site paid trial day from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Appropriate personal protective equipment, including steel toe cap boots and suitable workwear, must be worn.
