Caretaker – School (Chelmsford)
Salary: £27,918 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting a Caretaker for a school in Chelmsford. This is a long-term role with a competitive salary and the chance to make a real difference in the running of the school.
Duties include:

Opening and closing the school, ensuring security of the site
*
General repairs, maintenance and DIY tasks
*
Health & safety checks and overseeing contractors
*
Setting up classrooms and equipment for school activities
*
Keeping the site clean, safe and well-presented
Requirements:
*
Previous experience as a caretaker, maintenance worker or facilities assistant is desirable
*
Good DIY and repair skills
*
Reliable, proactive and able to work independently
*
Strong communication skills

As this role is within a school, all applicants must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding clearance before starting.
