We’re looking for a Caretaker to play a vital role in a large, busy school in Halifax. This temporary Caretaker position offers an immediate start — and for the right person, a chance to go permanent!
As the Caretaker, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping the school safe, secure, and in tip-top shape. You’ll take charge of locking down buildings, manage light cleaning tasks (think quick mop-ups and ensuring hygiene), and help with deliveries and portering. You’ll also carry out essential building checks to make sure everything’s running like clockwork.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Secure and lock down buildings at the end of the day
🔹 Handle deliveries, storage, and portering tasks
🔹 Carry out basic cleaning when needed
🔹 Conduct routine building and safety checks
🔹 Work independently to ensure smooth daily operations
Optional Skills (Nice to Have):
🌟 Experience in a school or facilities environment
🌟 Good communication and teamwork skills
