Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman with a strong carpentry bias to join our team for a project in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with expertise in woodwork and general handyman tasks to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role offers 9 hours of paid work per day for a duration of 4 months, with the potential for extension based on performance.
Responsibilities As a Handyman with a carpentry focus, your primary responsibilities will include:
Door Installation: Installing various types of doors, including those requiring Digilock systems.
Hoarding Construction: Building and maintaining temporary hoarding structures.
Ramp Construction: Designing and installing ramps as required.
General Handyman Duties: Performing additional tasks such as installing lights, fixing pipes, and other maintenance-related activities.Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Proven experience in carpentry and general handyman tasks.
Ability to install Digilock systems.
Familiarity with hoarding and ramp construction.
Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs.
Possession of a valid CSCS Card (mandatory).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Day-to-Day Your typical day will involve:
Reviewing daily tasks and prioritizing work based on project requirements.
Installing doors and ensuring proper functionality of Digilock systems.
Constructing hoarding and ramps to meet safety and design specifications.
Addressing general maintenance tasks, such as light installations and minor plumbing repairs.
