Fire Door Engineer / Carpenter
Location: Covering commercial office buildings in Central London
Salary: Up to £50,000 + van, travel card, or car allowance
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Overview
An experienced Fire Door Engineer / Carpenter is required to work across a portfolio of commercial sites in London. The role involves carrying out fire door inspections, remedial works, and maintenance to ensure compliance with fire safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct fire door inspections and checks in line with current legislation
* Complete remedial works, including repairs and replacements
* Occasional installation of new fire doors (minimal)
* Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation
* Work across multiple commercial sites, mainly north of the river with one in Canary Wharf
* Liaise with clients and site teams to ensure smooth delivery of works
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification
* Experience in fire door inspection and maintenance
* FIRAS or BM TRADA accreditation (desirable but not essential)
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong knowledge of commercial building environments
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently
Package
* Up to £50,000 salary (depending on experience)
