Overview
We are seeking skilled carpenters. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including framing, roofing, and finishing work. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Responsibilities
* Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
* Assemble and install structures such as frameworks, floors, and door frames.
* Ensure all work is plumb and level according to specifications.
* Perform masonry tasks as required for specific projects.
* Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
* Conduct repairs on existing structures including roofs and walls.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including electrical workers when necessary.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
* Paint surfaces as needed to complete projects to a high standard.
* Fabricate custom pieces as required by project specifications.
Skills
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry work.
* Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
* Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
* Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites.
