Salary: £21.40 per hour + Van & Fuel Card
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5.00pm
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, working on social housing properties across Dartford.
You’ll be carrying out a variety of carpentry repairs and maintenance, along with basic multi-trade tasks (e.g., plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, painting) within occupied and void social housing units. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, efficient, and committed to delivering high-quality work on every job.
Key Responsibilities
* First and second fix carpentry
* Kitchen and door installations
* Basic plumbing (e.g., tap and toilet repairs)
* Tiling and patch plastering
* Painting and decorating
* Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance
* Providing excellent customer service in tenant-occupied home
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety requirements
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Carpenter or Multi-Trade Operative
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry (preferred)
* Experience in social housing or domestic maintenance
* Basic skills in other trades (plumbing, tiling, decorating)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Own tools (power tools provided where required)
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
