Job Title: Carpenter / Multi-trade Operative
Location: Islington
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Pay Rate: £24 per hour
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Carpenter / Multi-trade Operative to join the Homes & Neighbourhoods team in Islington.
The role will involve carrying out day-to-day carpentry repairs and multiskilled maintenance tasks across residential properties. You will be working in both occupied and void properties, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard with excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
Carry out all aspects of carpentry, including doors, locks, frames, floors, and kitchen units
Undertake associated multi-trade work, such as minor plastering, tiling, or painting
Ensure all work meets required safety standards and customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate records of work completed
Liaise with tenants and staff in a respectful and professional mannerRequirements:
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry
Proven multi-trade experience in domestic maintenance
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
Full UK driving licence preferred (but not always essential)What We Offer:
