Job Description

Blocktech MEP are looking on behalf of their client for a Carpenter Multi trader with either a NVQ level 3 or 10 years’ experience for Permanent position.
The role will be to assist the company in maintenance activities across both residential and commercial properties. As well as maintenance repair work the company also carry out full refurbishments including new kitchens, new bathrooms, and general painting and decorating.
The company has been trading for over 10 years and has a healthy pipeline of work with both residential and commercial clients including and NHS annual contract.
They are looking for someone to be part of the team and hopefully build longer term working relationships.
General Duties of the role:
* Carry out minor repairs on tenanted properties both within a small team and on your own.
* Supervision of Junior Multi Trades and Labour
* Carry out quotes on minor new works.
* Fit new kitchens and appliances
* Carry out all general Carpentry duties for the team
* Assist with deliveries, key collection, and labour.
* Provide support to other tradespersons, occasionally outside main area of expertise.
* Occasional assist the client with commercial work on Hospitals in London.
* Ability to converse with both clients/customers.
* Health and Safety conscious and able to identify issues.
Necessary requirements or attributes:
* Own Van (Monthly Van allowance paid)
* A full UK driving licence
* A CSCS or preferably a SSSTS card or the willingness to take the half day to get one.
* The ability to pass a basic DBS check maybe required for the Hospital work.
* A good work ethic and the ability to work in a friendly professional manner.
* The ability to converse professionally with client and tenants when required.
In Return:
* £40,000 with Overtime available
* Standard Pension
* 3 Month Probation
* 8-hour days with half hour lunch.
* Usual hours 07.30am to 16:00
* Parking paid when required.
* Van allowance (Subject to T & C’s surrounding age of Vehicle and capacity)
* Share Options Available after 2 years (Discussed at Interview)
