Job Description
Blocktech MEP are looking on behalf of their client for a Carpenter Multi trader with either a NVQ level 3 or 10 years’ experience for a 3-month contract with potential to extend.
The role will be to assist the company in maintenance activities across both residential and commercial properties. As well as maintenance repair work the company also carry out full refurbishments including new kitchens, new bathrooms, and general painting and decorating.
Although this is currently a contract, they are looking for someone to be part of the team and hopefully build longer term working relationships.
General Duties of the role:
* Carry out minor repairs on tenanted properties both within a small team and on your own.
* Supervision of Junior Multi Trades and Labour
* Fit new kitchens and appliances
* Carry out all general Carpentry duties for the team
* Assist with deliveries, key collection, and labour.
* Provide support to other tradespersons, occasionally outside main area of expertise.
* Occasional assist the client with commercial work on Hospitals in London.
Necessary requirements or attributes:
* Own Van or vehicle to travel to and from work locations.
* A full UK driving licence
* A minimum of a Labourer CSCS card or the willingness to take the half day to get one.
* The ability to pass a basic check maybe required for the Hospital work.
* A good work ethic and the ability to work in a friendly professional manner.
* The ability to converse professionally with client and tenants when required.
In Return:
* 3 Month Contract (With extensions)
* 8-hour days with half hour lunch.
* Usual hours 07.30am to 16:00
* Overtime available
* £200 per day for local southeast work
* £240 per day for London work
* Parking paid when required.
* Van allowance if the contract extended.
