Casual Youth Outreach Worker - London
Part-Time | £19.00 per hour | 20 hours per week

Join our client's dynamic team as a Casual Youth Outreach Worker and help shape safer futures for young people aged 11-25 across London.
The Role
You'll be delivering impactful street-based youth work, building trust with disenfranchised young people, and connecting them to vital support services. This is hands-on, community-focused work that takes you out of the office and into the heart of where young people need support most.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver street-based outreach youth work across London
* Support young people at risk of exclusion, gang involvement, or offending
* Build positive relationships and provide informal education programmes
* Facilitate referrals to appropriate support services
* Work collaboratively with partner organisations and agencies
* Maintain accurate records and risk assessments
* Role model positive behaviour and maintain professional boundaries
Working Pattern
* 20 hours per week
* Primarily evenings and occasional weekends
* Temporary contract: 15th September - 24th November 2025
* Flexibility required to meet young people's needs
Essential Requirements
* Level 2/3 qualification in youth work or willingness to achieve within 12 months
* Experience working with young people from diverse backgrounds
* Experience dealing with challenging situations
* Willingness to undertake street-based outreach work
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to work unsocial hours including weekends
* Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
* Enhanced DBS check required
